Four Generations of Commercial Construction in British Columbia
TBI began in 1932, when our founders started providing drywall, steel stud framing and acoustic ceiling services throughout British Columbia and across Canada. Almost a century later the business is still in the family, now under its fourth generation of owners.
It has grown into three companies covering general contracting, demolition, and steel stud and drywall. That range means we can put the right crews on a job rather than subcontracting out the parts we do not do.
What We Do Today
From our Surrey headquarters we manage commercial construction across British Columbia: design build projects, tenant improvements, renovations, and ongoing service and maintenance for the buildings we finish.
Between our in-house teams and a roster of dedicated subtrades, we adapt to whatever a project demands, from a single storefront to a national rollout. We are SafeContractor accredited and work throughout the Lower Mainland, Southern BC and the Interior, Vancouver Island and Northern BC.
The People Running Your Project
Our general Manager Russ MacDonald brings more than twenty years in construction and a family history in interiors, steel stud and drywall. Our project Coordinator Kacey Bruce has over a decade in construction management, with a background in occupational health and safety. And our maintenance Coordinator Don Beglaw, a former millwright, leads our maintenance division.
This means every project has a named contact who knows it, and our owner stays personally involved from start to finish.
